BASF recently announced the commissioning of its multifunctional fuel additive production facility in Shanghai to meet the growing demand for fuel additives in the Asian market and to provide local customers with enhanced supply chain security and greater flexibility.
The new production facility, located in BASF's Shanghai Pudong Science and Innovation Park, is said to be the latest addition to BASF's global fuel additive production network and strengthens BASF's local production footprint in Asia.

BASF said the fuel additive market in Asia is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of more than 4 percent through 2032 as the use of multifunctional fuel additives continues to grow in the Asian market and consumer interest in cleaner, more efficient products grows.
